Top 10 Scenes that Make Me Hungry

Title is pretty self explanatory, but for one reason or another (and, admittedly, some of these are random), the scenes listed below all give me insatiable cravings. It is interesting that many of these scenes were first witnessed when I was a child. An analyst might have fun with that. Be sure to tell me which movie scenes most make your stomach rumble in the comments over at Movie Mezzanine!

And feel free to view more lists from And So it Begins...

  1. I just had dental stuff done. I can't eat anything solid. Now I just read this and I'm starving. THANKS! lol Actually, I totally agree with a lot on this list. Waitress is a film that always makes me crave pie, and I don't even like pie.

    1. Haha soorrrry. Waitress fell at number 11 here - the pies in that movie are insane. They just look so damn good. And I say that as a non-pie lover too.

      Sorry I made you hungry!

  2. Lists that contain anything food related are my worst nightmare. I'm one of those suckers who gets reeled into M&S adverts, with the dripping chocolate sauce over the sliced cake.

Awesome list, either way though. Totally agree about Wallace and Gromit as well. Nice to see someone is a fan of those two lovable Aardman creations!

    1. Haha nice. Wallace and Gromit were a staple of my childhood. God, I just loved the hell out of those three shorts. Hope the post didn't make you too hungry!

    2. I actually went downstairs to find that dinner had been made, which did my stomach all the good it needed since I didn't have lunch on my break at work.

Wallace and Gromit were massive parts of my childhood, too. I will never, ever get bored of those three shorts - and the most recent short, A Matter of Loaf and Death, was excellent. I was also one of the people who adored the film. (I still have my Wallace and Gromit toys and the clock which has both of their heads off - don't even ask, haha.)

    1. Yes! Wanted to include that movie, but I couldn't narrow it down to just one scene. Thanks for reading!

  4. We bought a meat share at an eco-friendly, relatively humane farm, so we ended up having a lot of ground beef. "Big Kahuna burger" and "That is a tasty burger" are catchphrases around here. One of the things I love about Tarantino is that he's so damn quotable. Lines from his movies, especially Pulp Fiction, are just fun to say.

    1. So fun to say! You can say that tasty burger line over and over... just so random and priceless. Love it.

  5. So it's almost midnight and I'm looking at these food pics... getting hungry.... wondering what is acceptable to eat at this hour... Anyway, great list, as usual. Especially the burger in Pulp Fiction. Maybe it's because I don't / can't / force myself not to eat many of those, but it's looking pretty yummy, and I would totally go for one right now.

    1. Haha, it was torture drafting this list. I could only do it with a full stomach, or else I'd get distracted.

Everytime I see that Pulp Fiction scene I want a big, fat, juicy, veggie burger :)

  6. Man, I just rewatched Hook last week. Good times. And the Pulp Fiction and TMNT 2 mentions are spot on. Mmmmm.

    1. Yes! I love the TMNT 2 support. Shit, now I want pizza.

  7. La Grande Bouffe. At first, very hungry. A little later, not so much. The end sent me scurrying to the nearest "vomitoria." (I know they're a myth!)

    Thank you.
